How BIM
works.

BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a design methodology that enables the integration of all building-related information—physical, functional, and performance data—into a single, collaborative, and multidisciplinary environment. Through this methodology, a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the project is achieved.

The survey of the building will be extended to include architectural, material, structural, and plant engineering identification in order to provide a real and up-to-date basis on which to set the project scenarios.

The architecture of the project allows for increasingly in-depth information. All information relating to the systems will be added to the BIM architectural model: generator, distribution network, terminals, management and control systems, etc.

Useful information describing the actual behavior of the building can also be associated with BIM, creating an information database for the building itself.

In addition to the already vast amount of information available in BIM, we can add further information relating to aspects of the project, such as timing, costs, management, and maintenance of the building.

4D BIM.

The use of 4D-BIM technology is advantageous for organizing activities, as it is connected to the management of the time required for each phase of the project. In this context, the fourth dimension of BIM allows you to extract and visualize the progress of planned activities and better control their progress.

5D BIM.

The use of 5D BIM modeling, combined with 3D modeling and 4D BIM, allows the costs of activities to be estimated and analyzed as they progress, visualizing scenarios and the impact of any changes.

6D BIM.

The sixth dimension of BIM focuses on the operational management and maintenance of the building, including its components, throughout its life cycle. 6D BIM modeling allows for simpler and more efficient management.

7D BIM.

The seventh dimension of BIM adds information about the sustainability of the project to the model, framing it in its three dimensions: environmental, economic, and social. In addition, the use of 7D BIM technology allows for an effective overall reduction in the building's energy consumption.
